Udawlawe National Park is a Witness to one of the largest elephant and waterbird habitats in Sri Lanka. Traveling 165 kilometers (103 mi) from Colombo, you will reach this haven named Udawalawe National Park which is located in the south of Sri Lanka. This sanctuary is a popular destination for those who hope to spot wild elephants.
It is quite possibly the best place in Sri Lanka to see elephants throughout the year as there are hundreds of elephants within the park, and you can sometimes witness a herd of females moving or bathing together in the wild. The Udawalawe National Park has proven to be a popular tourist destination and the third most visited park in Sri Lanka.
